I’m Miqui Brightside, spanish photographer based in Madrid. 21 years old and currently studying advertising while I work as photographer.

Sono Miqui Brightside, fotografo spagnolo di Madrid. Ho 21 anni e attualmente studio pubblicità mentre lavoro come fotografo.
Photography in your life: how and why?
I began to take photos five years ago. I won my first camera with newspaper coupons and that was the beginning. As a lot of things in this life, it began as an accident, self-taught, but right now it’s one of the most important things that I do day after day.
La fotografia nella tua vita: come e perchè?
Ho iniziato a scattare fotografie 5 anni fa. Vinsi la mia prima macchina fotografica con un coupon di un giornale e quello fu l’inizio. Come molte cose nella mia vita, è iniziata casualmente, da sola, ma ora è sicuramente una delle cose più importanti che faccio ogni giorno.

Dicci tre cose che ti piacciono senza pensarci troppo.
Senza pensarci troppo? Allora: Twin Peaks, un doppio cheesburger e l’odore della benzina.
How would you describe your own way to take pictures, your style?
What I try to show in my photographs, the style I follow, is the idea of create a mood. I want to make feel in someone a feeling without knowing why they are feeling that, without having a clear idea why they feel that. Say something more with the things that you don’t see than with the things you see.
Come descriveresti il tuo modo di fare fotografie, il tuo stile?
Quello che cerco di mostrare nelle mie fotografie, lo stile che inseguo, è l’idea di creare uno stato d’animo. Voglio che qualcuno provi delle sensazioni senza sapere esattamente il perchè, senza avere un’idea chiara del perchè si sentano così. Comunicare qualcosa attraverso le cose che non si vedono piuttosto che con quelle che tutti riescono a vedere.
Would you like to choose one of your photo projects and tell us briefly what was the creative process
for its creation?
“Book Of Maps” is probably one of my favorite photoshoots. I did it two years ago but it still has a lot of important meanings for me. What I tried to do here is to close the film photography to the digital photography at the same time that I was trying to close the water to the ground. All of that with a same feeling in each photography.
Ti andrebbe di scegliere uno dei tuoi progetti fotografici e di raccontarci brevemente qual è stato il processo creativo che ha portato alla sua realizzazione?
“Book of Maps” è probabilmente uno dei mie servizi fotografici preferiti. L’ho realizzato due anni fa, ma ha ancora un significato molto importante per me. Quello che ho cercato di fare è stato avvicinare la fotografia analogica a quella digitale e allo stesso tempo l’acqua alla terra. Tutto questo con la stessa sensazione in ogni fotografia.
What is currently your biggest desire in a professional environment?
Ouch, lot of things! I’ve reached some goals that I saw impossible some months ago. Right now what I dream is to be someone who lives in this. Work for international customers and improve while I try to fully dedicate myself to photography.
Qual è attualmente il tuo più grande desiderio in ambito professionale?
Ouch, un sacco di cose! Ho raggiunto alcuni obiettivi che ritenevo impossibili fino a qualche mese fa. In questo momento quello che sogno è di riuscire a vivere attraverso la fotografia. Lavorare per clienti internazionali mentre posso dedicarmi completamente alla fotografia.
